Exploring RPR Coupon Processing
A message to the Alliance from…
Redemption Processing Representatives Inc. (RPR)
Guest contributors to The Independent View share insights, information and services on a wide range of topics important to IGA’s independent retailers, wholesalers and Red Oval partners. Today, Ron Fisher of Redemption Processing Representatives (RPR) shares how his company is helping IGA retailers across the country navigate the complexities of coupon redemption.
Redemption Processing Representatives Inc. (RPR) was founded in 1994 with the goal of providing retailers with ethical, and cost-effective print coupon processing that complies with industry guidelines. From the beginning, we’ve focused our efforts primarily on independents, stripping our services of additional fees and providing personalized care that helps to provide independents with the same leverage as the national chains.
Today’s coupon industry is governed by voluntary, recommended guidelines which present a huge challenge—especially for independent retailers and/or manufacturers new to couponing. Our team has over 122 years of combined experience, so we understand the issues and opportunities involved in print coupon redemption.
The key difference in our model is that we avoid chargebacks and fees because we do not pre-pay our coupon clients; we pay once invoices are paid. AND, we collect for invoices not paid. We can’t avoid adjustments, but we will challenge them, which often leads to additional payment.
